Knight leads the offense
By Dave Merchant [email protected] Kyle Knight is a senior quarterback on the Chelsea Bulldogs with a mission: To get his team back to Ford Field and win a championship. Last year was a special season. “Last year when we played Farmington Hills Harrison during the playoffs and I had a 38 yard TD run to tie the game 7-7,” Kyle Knight said “My favorite part was when I rolled over in the end zone and I've never seen 10 happier faces in my life.” Being a captain is special. “It is an honor to be put in the position to lead such a great group of guys,” he said. His favorite teachers are Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Dillion. His favorite classes are English, History and Advanced Fitness. “My favorite sport is Football and my favorite coach is Josh Lucas,” he said. “For Coach Lucas only being here a year, he has impacted me and the team in many ways. We are all thankful to have such a great coach! The goal for this year is to get what we didn't get last year and that is a ring. A personal goal of mine is to break the QB rushing record at Chelsea,” Knight said. Big games this season are Jackson, Pioneer and Skyline. “Still have not decided where I am going to college and if I will play a sport at the next level,” he added. “I would like to study business management and own my own business.” His mom is Kelli Knight and he has two older siblings, Ryan and Anna. “I like to wake surf , go to concerts, and hang with friends and family,” he added. His advice is unique but true: “Stay in the weight room, work hard, and don't leave anyone behind,” he said. “Create a family that you will never forget.”
