Cars for Cancer By: Rebecca Indianer [email protected] Arctic Breakaway held its 3rd Annual Cancer Benefit Cruise-in and American Heroes Tribute on Sunday, and it was their biggest car show to date. Old cars, news cars and custom paint jobs dominated The Breakaway’s enormous parking lot. The only thing more diverse than the beautiful cars was the range of people coming to enjoy the show. People came from all over to view, admire, and drool over the sea of vehicles on display. Every year The Arctic Breakaway partners with Marshall Motors on the first Sunday in August to bring the coolest cars around to the Breakaway’s giant parking lot. This year very spot was filled with 200-300 cars, and the weather was picture perfect. The Cruise-In was open to all, with no pre-registration necessary, and all makes and models were welcomed! Lots of raffles and giveaways were held to benefit local cancer fundraisers, like the Grass Lake Relay for life and Camp Liberty, which helps out with local Veterans. Fun fact: The Arctic Breakaway provides 10% off every Military Veteran, police, firefighter and EMS meal every day! Breakaway General Manager Josh Glaspie says, “It couldn’t have gone better this year! I love that people can come together to have a good time and support a great cause.”
