St. Frances Cabrini to hold Day of Giving Mother Cabrini Day of Giving slated for November 11

​St. Frances Cabrini Catholic schools will hold their fourth annual Mother Cabrini Day of Giving on Friday, November 11, in honor of their patroness’ feast day.


Last year this 24-hour, online, social media-driven effort raised over $116,000 and additionally inspired a $50,000 donation from a single donor for Cabrini scholarships.


Each year the entire Cabrini campus, together with the broader community of friends, families, alumni, alumni parents, and other supporters of Catholic education, join forces to benefit Cabrini schools. 


The school received 722 gifts in a single day last year and hopes to increase those numbers substantially.


"Now is a difficult time to ask people to give more, and that is why we are requesting that our supporters ask family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones to join the effort for our school, and invite more people to give," said Ryan John, head of schools. "Anyone who sees the value of an education that joyfully leads our young people to truth and knowledge should be moved to give on Nov. 11. Together, we will keep our Cabrini Catholic School strong and accessible to any family seeking Downriver's school of choice for their children."



Donations made on Nov. 11 stay at Cabrini and help provide for tuition assistance, renovation of learning spaces, installation of cutting-edge classroom technology, support of the arts, and much more.


The giving day starts at 12 am on Friday, Nov. 11 and continues till 11:59 pm. The campus will be buzzing with activity as students engage in service projects throughout the school day in honor of Mother Cabrini. Students will also be involved in fun events that will begin when certain donation goals are met
