(Article 6 in a series of articles all about Girl Scouts)

If you’ve been reading along with our past articles, you now know the ins and outs of Girl Scouting. There’s so much more along the way that you’ll learn as you experience this magic with your girl. But what does all this fun mean when she grows up? Girl Scout alumnae have higher graduation rates, loftier goals, and find themselves in leadership positions wherever life takes them. Often, girls will become Lifetime Members when they graduate high school – it’s a great graduation gift! There are job and volunteer opportunities available as soon as she turns 18.

What we like to say is that “Once a Girl Scout, ALWAYS a Girl Scout,” because the bonds she makes, the lessons she learns, and the memories created during her years as a Girl Scout become an intrinsic part of who she is. Joining Girl Scouts means joining a national sisterhood that transcends time, and it’s something to stay involved with for life.
